As I walked along the creek, I saw this hawk swoop across the water and up into the tree. He sat there for a moment and then swooped down right over the footpath ahead and into the treeline, out of sight. It looked like he was getting ready to land so I quietly hurried down the path and creeped around a tree. There he was on the dead tree trunk so I took this shot. The sound of the shutter was enough for him so that was the only one.
